Dalma Bíró (Földes) international human rights activist. In order to raise awareness of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), she supported civil cooperation and social awareness-raising for more effective lobbying and action. Together with Gábor Gombos, she was a founding member of the Hungarian disability NGO CAUCUS and coordinator of the first Hungarian alternative report.
She is currently the activist coordinator of the Hungarian network of the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots. The campaign aims to ensure meaningful human control over the use of force – more specifically – to create an international treaty to regulate the development, production, use and trade of killer robots at a global level.
Social mobiliser for the International Campaign to Ban Landmines between 1994- 2005. The organisation was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997.
